Literature Text

A light to block the pain.
A pain of love from a forgotten realm.
Where we loved and shared our thoughts.
But as we grew older and the times pass like seconds.
We held our hands tight,
And promised a promise, of forever lasting love.
As that horrible day came.

It seems to me like days ago.
But years of emptiness, of aloneness, had gone by.
Enduring the harshness of remembering, as that too, is now fading.
As I remember the day we met in a park, spilling the knowledge of men.
But that too is slowly crumbling into a dark realm of forgotten memories.

But that promise, we had promised, for a forever lasting love.
To find each other even if all odds defy it.
As that promise I hold to the heart,
As I fade into a forever sleep in this lifetime.

Years have gone by now, and ages have passed,
As I walked down a street
Our eyes met.
It seemed like we knew each other,
From ages ago,
In a forgotten realm, in a forgotten story
Of true love.
love is the greatest question ever asked. so will all odds defy it?

I really like this, and I can't put my finger on why. I guess because I can relate, but it's just well written too.

The 4th line is my favorite: "...and the times pass like seconds". Seriously great.
